This year Camp Semaphore started on 6 June 2022 at Barton Field, Fort Gordon, GA. BG Paul Stanton, commander of Fort Gordon and the Cyber Center of Excellence opened the camp by welcoming Cadets from eight (8) high schools within the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA). The CSRA schools are the Academy of Richmond County, Evans, Grovetown, Hancock Central, Harlem, Hephzibah, Jenkins County, Lakeside, and Laney. During the course of the week, the Cadets will participate in the following events, land navigation, drown proofing, obstacle course, kayaking, engagement skills trainer (EST), and cadet challenge. The GA National Guard was present for day two (2) of training and gave the cadets a demonstration of a chinook from their fleet.
