On Saturday, 7 May 2022, The Myers Park High School JROTC Orienteering Team competed in the 4th BDE Invitational at Kings Mountain National Military Park, in Kings Mountain NC. They ended the day with another impressive performance as 1st Place 2 Cadet team, and overall 2nd Place all around full team of Cadets. Their teamwork and dedication to detail allowed them to showcase their ability and orienteering skills on a physically demanding course. This tournament allowed Cadet's from different states to compete for land navigation supremacy, and we were among the best.

Cadet/2LT Logan McClain and Cadet 2LT Henry Wasmer brought home 1st Place honors for their performance on the toughest course (Green). This course was designed to be equivalent to National-level competition standards. Overall, MPHS Mustang Orienteers brought home the 2nd Place trophy. Competitors were, Cadet/1LT Henry Wasmer, Cadet/2LT McClain, Cadet/2LT Edgar Cruz-Lopez, Cadet/SFC Elijah Trapier, Cadet/SGT Minh Quach, and Cadet/PFC Henry Stewart.
